Ford Pre School Curriculum Goals
The goals identified in our curriculum are the main goals that we will support children to achieve by the end of their time with us.
The staff of Ford Pre School will use these goals as well as the birth to 5 matters guidance and child development knowledge to tailor a child individual next steps to achieve school readiness
The characteristics of effective learning underpin the ethos of everything that we do by supporting children to be lifelong learners.
Our curriculum enables children to be independent, resilient problem solvers who are creative and team players .
Using the school values of a love of learning, a love of nature and a love of one another we support children to achieve their full potential in preparation for their school journey.

We feel that what we are able to offer at Ford Pre-school is as unique and special as the location in which it is situated. We do a lot of our learning through play in the amazing outdoor environments that we have door step access to including a growing garden, play garden with climbing, large scale resources and huge sand pit. We regularly access the on-sight forest school and qualified forest school leader. These environments enable us to have a love of nature as well as use nature in our planning to extend children’s leaning and development. These learning environments really have to be seen to be believed.
We are proud of boast of our low staff to child ratio, this enables us to access the village, post office, park, castle to name but a few that are all with in walking distance of our setting. As well as the local farm to see the lambing shed and follow the farming calendar which is a strong influence to the community life. We have a strong relationship with the local community with parents volunteering to be on the committee and local people taking time to support us in any way they can. This is what makes Ford Pre School feel unique valued and real asset to the community.
